Laois League Progress
The Laois League is nearing its conclusion in Grades 4, 5 and 6. Grade 4 has provided some excellent badminton with many tight results. Portarlington Parochial lead the way on 17 points followed by Rahan on 11 with a game in hand. Portlaoise G.A.A. are in third on 8 and Abbeyleix C.Y.M.S. trail on 6 after some mixed results. Although there is a big gap from top to bottom, any of the teams involved are capable of winning on any night.
Grade 5 has a clear favourite with Carlow Y.M. on 21 points. Country Club have overtaken Athy R.F.C. with the clubs on 13 and 12 points respectively. Clonenagh are in fourth place on 9 points and Rahan are on 5.
Grade 6 is hard to predict as many games remain to be played but Portlaoise G.A.A. look like favourites with some good early results.
